New Tascam DR-40 Free Firmware Upgrade
The Tascam DR-40 is a cost-effective portable digital recorder to be used when the hunter and the cameraman can not be close together, mounted by your decoys to pick up audio, or as another source of audio. This new firmware update adds independent level-control to its external inputs. This feature will benefit anyone who uses external XLR microphones with the DR-40.
Example Use:
Your out in the field filming and you have a shotgun microphone plugged into one XLR input on the DR-40, and a wireless microphone plugged into the second XLR input; the new V1.10 firmware will enable to adjust the levels separately on those inputs, so you get an optimal recording of each mic.
