ISO8000 6:45PM

Brett. D3/24-70mm f/2.8G. 1/30th f/2.8 ISO5000 @70mm. 6:28PM.

At the time I was disappointed. I thought, why can't the camera autofocus properly? Why do I have to bump the ISO?

Well, because it's 6:28PM in Southern California on October 3rd, 2010. It's already dark outside.
The question should be, "
Why the hell are you trying to shoot natural light indoors??? AND WITHOUT A TRIPOD?"

*shrug*

I dunno.

Between 6:28PM and 6:48PM (last frame) I went from ISO5000 to ISO8000 and had to drop my shutter speed down from 1/30th to 1/13th. Literally the camera couldn't focus anymore. I was manually focusing the D3. But it looked like morning outside when I was done with the files :)

6:45PM.

The H3D had gone back into the bag at 6:19PM. I didn't want to push it anymore, besides low-light is where the D3 shines. But no-light? Comon let's be reasonable here.

But I'm not good at being reasonable.

Will it print? Probably not. There is lots of noise at ISO8000. But the files look good for ISO8000.
